The 14-year-old violinist from Zurich, winner of the XXI Nutcracker International Competition and the Bluebird Television Show 2020, Ilva Eigus and the talented 15-year-old French cellist Maxime Grizard are united not only by a passion for their instrument, many hours of daily practicing, an outstanding for their young age knowledge of musical material and somewhat introverted nature, but also, not least, the Russian school. Maxim's teacher – Professor Claire Oppert – is a graduate of the Moscow Conservatoire, and Ilva's teacher – Liana Tretiakova, is the founder of the Zakhar Bron School of Music in Zurich.

Ilva and Maxime have met a year and a half ago and have had the opportunity to work on a trio programme with different pianists, as their concert tour in Germany has been postponed twice due to the pandemic. In Riga, in the intimate ambiаnce of the Reformed Church with its unique acoustics, they will present the same programme with which they plan to charm the German audience in the halls for a thousand people in March 2022. The piano part will be performed by Stanislav Soloviev, an international competition winner and assistant professor of the St. Petersburg Conservatory's Chamber Ensemble Department.
