The concert and recording of the program ''Your Sergei Rachmaninoff'' will be held In Small Guild in Riga. The program of the famous and seldom played romances of the great Russian composer Sergei Vasilyevich Rachmaninoff will be performed by the opera singer, bass, Mikhail Svetlov, the soloist of the Metropolitan-opera, Bolshoi Theatre, the nominee of Grammy award, the winner of the international competitions who is known to the Riga public by performance of solo program in Big Guild, and also by participation in Gala concerts of the competition "Rising stars" and in the night concert of Mikhail Kazinik in Riga Luther Church (also Torņkalna Church)

Mikhail Svetlov's works are inextricably intertwined with a name of Sergei Rachmaninoff. Specifically last year the singer has received National Opera Academy award in the USA for execution of roles in Rachmaninoff's operas - Alecko in the opera «Alecko» in the opera theater of Boston. The singer has been received «Teleram» award in France for the recording of the Baron's aria in the opera '' the Avaricious knight ''.

The program of the concert ''Your Sergei Rachmaninoff'' and disk release is timed to the 145th anniversary of the composer, and title words are taken from his well-known ''Letter to Stanislavsky'' executed by great Shalyapin at the celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Moscow Art Theatre.

Some romances will be performed by the bass for the first time.

The pianist Stanislav Solovyov, the winner of Tchaikovsky competition and also famous for the brilliant performances before public in Latvia will take part in a concert. Stanislav will perform in piano accompanying of romances and solo performance of Rachmaninoff's preludes.
